Tacaná Pillow Case

Tacaná Pillow Case

$148.00

The second highest peak in Central America, Volcán Tacaná looms over northern Guatemala and southern Mexico. Tacaná’s last eruption was in May of 1986. Steam and rock fragments erupted, but there was no liquid lava. Some vegetation was destroyed, but there was no loss of human life. While this most recent eruption was not particularly dangerous, there are 250,000 people residing near Tacaná who would be in its path of destruction should it fully erupt. The uncertainty and potential power of this sleeping giant were the inspiration for this design.
